MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE INCREASE. Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.

When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn’t the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

RELIABLE STARTING IN COLD TEMPERATURES. Batteries only work at full power in ideal temperatures. If it is too cold, it usually takes time for the battery to warm up. Thanks to the cold start function, the tool is ready to start immediately, even at low temperatures down to -20°C, and offers almost the same output as at ideal temperatures.

SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.

At the same time, this protects the battery from deep discharge or overcharging, guarantees thermal stability and protects the battery in the best possible way. Smart Control ensures precise monitoring and control of all important battery parameters: this means, for example, that potential overheating is detected at an early stage and the power of the battery power tool is reduced accordingly. In most cases, you can then finish the work you have started with reduced performance.

SUPPORTS BATTERY DURABILITY. Maintaining an optimal operating temperature is crucial for the most efficient operation of batteries. For this reason, air is directed through the housing to cool STIHL batteries. In addition, the cells in the battery are thermally connected in such a way that heat can be dissipated efficiently. This allows heat to be dissipated quickly and effectively, and excessive temperature differences can be avoided.
