Description
Since Husqvarna’s first chainsaw launch in 1959, Husqvarna has remained at the forefront in chainsaw development. And with the new Husqvarna 556, they’re continuing the tradition.
The new Husqvarna 556 chainsaw is an extremely ergonomic and robust machine, with a compact and low weight design which includes a narrow body for ease of handling, a centre of gravity close to the front handle for better manoeuvrability and reduced weight in moving components, which reduces gyro forces to improve acceleration and allow better control – making it extremely responsive.
Equipped with Husqvarna’s revolutionary two-stroke X-Torq® engine, which delivers substantially higher torque over a wider rpm range than a standard two-stroke engine, the Husqvarna 556 produces superior cutting performance. The X-Torq® engine also drastically reduces exhaust emissions by up to 75% and delivers fuel savings of up to 20%, without compromising power.
Adding to the advanced engine technology is the unique AutoTune™ feature, which provides optimal engine performance without the need for manual adjustments to the carburettor, and automatically compensates for different types of fuel qualities, blocked air filter, altitude and temperature.
Stephen Clark, General Manager – Product marketing at Husqvarna Australia, explains that, “achieving the perfect carburetor settings manually, can be a time-consuming and difficult task. Temperature, air humidity and the quality of the fuel, all comes into play. With AutoTune™ this is a thing of the past. Now the user can start the chainsaw and begin working immediately – without interruptions”.
